Michał Śmiałek currently holds the position of a Professor. He obtained a habilitation (higher doctorate) degree in informatics from the Warsaw Military University and has graduated the Warsaw University of Technology (MSc and PhD) and the University of Sheffield (MSc). Prof. Smialek has more than 20 years of experience in software development mainly using object-oriented methods. For several years he worked in the industry as a software developer and project manager. He teaches software modelling and requirements engineering in academia and for the major Polish companies. He published books on Model-Driven Requirements and UML modelling and over 70 papers in national and international refereed journals and conference proceedings. He has chaired/chairs national and international conferences, is a member of program committees of international conferences in the area of software engineering, and did reviews for major software engineering journals. His research interests include metamodelling, model transformations, scenario-based requirements engineering and object-oriented development methods.

Wiktor Nowakowski is currently pursuing his PhD at the Institute of Theory of Electrical Engineering and Information Systems of the Warsaw University of Technology. His main area of research interest is in Requirements Engineering, Model-Driven Software Development, metamodeling and Software Language Engineering. He is also engaged in teaching in these areas. Wiktor has an extensive experience working on small- to large-scale both research and commercial projects in roles covering all stages of the software development life cycle.
 

Norbert Jarzębowski

Norbert Jarzębowski is currently a PhD student at the Institute of Theory of Electrical Engineering and Information Systems of the Warsaw University of Technology. His main area of research is Model-Driven Software Morenisation. He is working on a system to recover application logic models from legacy systems through analysing their observable behaviour.

Kamil Rybiński

Kamil Rybiński is currently a PhD student at the Institute of Theory of Electrical Engineering and Information Systems of the Warsaw University of Technology. His main area of research is Model-Driven Domain Engineering. He is currently working on a language and tools for defining domain logic within the framework of the Requirements Specification Langiuage.

Rafał Parol is currently a PhD student at the Institute of Theory of Electrical Engineering and Information Systems of the Warsaw University of Technology. His main area of research is Model-Driven Requirements Engineering. He is currently working on a tooling environment for the Requirements Specification Language that includes the language's editor and code generation engine.

Maciej Polakowski is currently a PhD student at the Institute of Theory of Electrical Engineering and Information Systems of the Warsaw University of Technology. His main area of research is Model-Driven Requirements Engineering for embedded and IoT systems. He is currently researching approaches to transform requirements models into software controlling smart objects.

Albert Ambroziewicz

Albert Ambroziewicz is professionally engaged in software engineering, mostly in topics related to modeling and metamodeling. He is interested in practical implementations of solutions connected with Model Driven Architecture issues, as well as CASE tools support for industrial usage of UML. He took part in several commercial projects, mostly in the fields of enterprise architecture, analysis, R&D and prototyping.

Tomasz Straszak

Tomasz Straszak is a PhD candidate interested in software modeling, requirements engineering and test engineering. He gained professional experience in telco and banking sectors working as a system/business analyst, software and solution architect and programmer. He currently works on tools for automated generation of acceptance tests from requirements models.
